Education
Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life. Means, because it empowers an individual to earn his / her livelihood and the end because it increases one’s awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one’s rights, and in the process evolve as a better and cognizant citizen.
- Informal education [6-14 years for non-school going children].
- 65 % of the beneficiaries were female children.
- In addition to this, the project strives to improve the quality of formal education for children in the tribal belts Our NGO looks at the overall development and progress of the children. Services like pick up drop from the remote villages, textbooks and meals are extended to ensure more and more participation. Training in various departments is also given.
Employment
At Seva Vivek, we believe in empowering women with all kinds of training, right from farming, manufacturing, teaching and practical knowledge to face the world, survive and lead a respectable life.
“Rashtra Seva Samiti” is an NGO on the outskirts of Mumbai. It teaches students from nearby villages for free. Here we see that we provide them with all necessary elements of education and teach them the ways through which they can cultivate organic crops, with the help of organic fertilizers. We train them in the art of Bamboo Handicraft & Bamboo Furniture, which later on would be their source of income.
