One Step Towards Tribal Women Employment

Looking for a lantern for Diwali with a more understated look? Kandil-Shukra is a diamond-shaped bamboo lantern finished in deep, muted natural tones – a quieter counterpart to our brighter diamond kandil, shaped entirely by hand by tribal women artisans of Maharashtra.

Key Features of Kandil-Shukra:
• 100% Pure Bamboo Frame: A durable diamond structure built from natural bamboo strips.
• Dark, Muted Finish: A subtler natural-colour treatment, well suited to contemporary or minimalist décor.
• Handcrafted by Tribal Women Artisans: Each piece supports women artisan livelihoods in rural Maharashtra.

About Kandil-Shukra:The diamond shape of this lantern for Diwali reads elegant rather than loud – a good fit for anyone who wants the tradition of an akash kandil without a bold, bright colour statement.
Note: LED bulb is not included with this Kandil. Please purchase the bulb separately.
